For nearly forty years the Despotiko Hotel has been welcoming guests to Mykonos. Our hotel is a much loved favourite amongst regular visitors to the beautiful island. Elegant and boutique in character it still retains many original elements of its former use as a bishop’s residence, while of course offering the visitor every modern comfort. The Despotiko Hotel is still run by the same island family that opened it all those years ago.
The tastefully decorated rooms are available with views over the beautiful bay, the rooftops of Mykonos Town, or the relaxing courtyard, with its swimming pool and garden. All our rooms offer air conditioning and en-suite facilities, as well as a reliable wi-fi connection.
Our rich buffet-style breakfast is served in a part of the hotel that was once the “Despotiko”, which means “The bishop’s house”, a 200 year old mansion, that gave our hotel its name.
We are sited only a short walk from Mykonos town, with its large selection of shops, restaurants and world famous nightlife, yet we also provide a sanctuary where you can relax in the warm sunshine away from the hussle and bussle. Regular buses run from a stop close to the hotel to all parts of the island, including its many sandy beaches.
